The State of Texas and I AM Road Ready take your security very seriously. We make every effort to protect your information and identity. As you began this course you were asked to provide answers to a variety of personal information questions. These questions may be used throughout the course to identify you as the user. The answers you provide to these questions will be cross checked against the answers you provided at the beginning of the course and must be answered correctly to continue.
In this manner, we can make sure that no one else has logged in to your account. You could be asked (at least 12 of) these personal validation questions randomly throughout the course. If you are asked, you will have 30 seconds to answer the question. You must answer more than 30% of the questions in order to validate and receive credit for the course.
Student records will be created and maintained by I Am Road Ready as required by the Texas Education Agency. Documentation will include student enrollment data, verification questions/answers, answers to questions throughout the course, time spent on course, and final exam results. This website takes every precaution to protect our customer's information. When customers submit sensitive information via the website, the information is secured both online and off-line.
When the site asks customers to enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers), that information is encrypted and is secured using industry leading encryption software. While on a secure page, such as the Payment Processing page, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Firefox Mozilla and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked (or open), when you are browsing a non-secure page.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect customer information offline. All of our customer's information, encompassing more than the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our customer's information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.
